OUR STORY
We live in a digital age where the value of personal contact is constantly being eroded. At ACA, we aim to reverse this process – working with young people to develop and explore a wealth of performing arts skills. We want our students to delight in using their entire range of personal expression and communications, building confidence in new, sometimes challenging areas. Our specialist tutors offer valuable tools to enhance everyday life and further promising careers.
Our mission is to produce passionate performers and creative communicators who love what they do.
Kayte Borg,
FOUNDER AND DIRECTOR
The Acting and Communications Academy emerged from the vision of Kayte Borg, who has dedicated her life to the pursuit of excellence in the performing arts.
Starting out as a professional performer more than 25 years ago, Kayte has worked across the sector in multiple roles including actor, writer, director, producer and industry lawyer.
In 2010, Kayte was engaged as MLC artist in residence to direct a contemporary Shakespearean production. Shortly after, she established the ACA at MLC School and Trinity Preparatory Grammar School in Sydney.
Having found her own voice, Kayte is passionate about helping others to find theirs. She always dreamed of creating a secure, inspiring place where she could encourage others to pursue their own performance dreams, growing in confidence and curiosity every day. That space is now a reality. In the ACA, every student is guaranteed the tailored, one-on-one attention so essential to developing outstanding performance skills and personal growth. And every student is encouraged to reach out to others in a range of creative, collaborative and beneficial ways.
Head of ACA Corporate Training Programs, Kayte is regularly engaged to work with corporate clients as a professional development specialist. Her insight, wisdom and finely honed skills place the Academy’s extensive curriculum among the best Sydney has to offer.

ACA Community Work
The Acting and Communications Academy is proud to partner with worthy organisations and assist fundraising events. In recent years, we’ve worked with: Destiny Rescue; participated in the Sydney City2Surf for the Alannah and Madeline Foundation; Women of the World; HOPE; local women’s shelters; and schools to assist their valuable contributions to the community. Our efforts have raised tens of thousands of dollars, which gives us enormous satisfaction. We believe in philanthropy and giving back wherever we can. That’s why we’re always looking for opportunities to help charities move forward and achieve their goals.
Do you have a valuable contribution to make to aspiring performers? Are you compelled to push performing arts to the limits? We need to talk!
